The Wellmont Arts Plaza will host a grand opening this weekend.

The Wellmont Arts Plaza Grand Opening and Fall Bazaar will be held Saturday, Nov. 13, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mayor Sean Spiller and the Township Council invite the Montclair community to join in the celebration with local artists, artisans, small businesses and food vendors, all in a bazaar atmosphere. Music will be provided by a DJ, and students from the School of Rock will perform.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at noon to officially open the new 14,000-square-foot arts space in the heart of a new township arts district.

“It’s a great pleasure to celebrate the opening of this beautiful public space,” Spiller said. “Residents and visitors can sit outdoors, watch open-air performances and enjoy the public artwork. The plaza will surely become a hub for arts activities, a true gem in Montclair Center.”
