blotterPolice are investigating a report of six people robbing two teens on Bloomfield Avenue on Dec. 23.

The two teens told police they had been walking east on Bloomfield Avenue when they were approached from behind by the group of six individuals, police said.

The teens told police that one of the group members said he had a weapon, though a weapon was never displayed, and that he told the teens to turn over their belongings, police said.

The group took an orange bag containing sunglasses before fleeing west on foot, police said.

The incident is under investigation. Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Montclair Police Department at 973-744-1234.
