Lorraine Jeanne Debnaun of Orange, a former longtime Montclair resident, died on Oct. 12, 2020. She was 87.

She was born in Newark on Sept. 29, 1933, the daughter of Edwin B. and Morresa H. Barry Blackburn.

She spent most of her life as a registered nurse at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City while living in Montclair. She was active with the Girls Scouts and the YMCA and YWCA of Montclair, and in political affairs in the township.

She traveled to Russia, China, the Caribbean and Europe. She was an avid photographer.  

She is survived by a brother, Harold Debnaun, and his wife, Meredith, of Surprise, Ariz.; a nephew, Eric M. Debnaun of Somerset, and a lifelong friend and neighbor, Thelma Green Dunnerman Patton.

She was preceded in death by an older brother, Erwin D. Debnaun.

Arrangements were by Martin’s Home for Service.
