Tuesday, Sept. 22—A 39-year-old Jersey City resident was arrested on Park Street and charged with defiant trespass.
Thursday, Sept. 24—A 40-year-old Newark resident was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Bloomfield Avenue.
Sunday, Sept. 27—A 44-year-old Jersey City resident was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Chestnut Street.
Monday, Sept. 28—Police responded to the area of South Park Street on a report of an assault in progress. They located a male victim suffering from facial injuries. The victim reported being assaulted, and said a bottle of alcohol was stolen from him. Officers located the suspect, a 40-year-old Newark resident, and charged him with robbery.
Wednesday, Sept. 23—A Woodland Avenue resident reported being awakened in the early morning hours by an unknown person reaching into her bedroom window, attempting to remove her cell phone. The suspect was scared off and fled in an unknown direction.
Thefts from motor vehicles
Wednesday, Sept. 23—A Washington Avenue resident reported that an unknown male had entered his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the driveway. Surveillance camera footage showed the suspect enter the driver’s side door. Nothing appeared to be taken. A neighbor reported the same male attempted to enter his vehicles, however, the doors were locked.
Friday, Sept. 25—A Glenridge Avenue resident reported parking her vehicle in the parking lot of her building at noon. When she returned at 7:30 a.m. the following day, she discovered her Michael Kors purse had been removed. It appeared that the vehicle had been entered via a partially opened rear window.
Motor vehicle theft/recovery
Saturday, Sept. 26—A Union Street resident reported that his 2016 Ford Escape was stolen from his driveway between 3 a.m. and 8 a.m. The vehicle was recovered on Sept. 27 in Newark.
Sunday, Sept. 27—A 2002 Ford Explorer reported stolen from New York City was recovered parked and unoccupied on Sylvan Place by a patrol officer.
Sunday, Sept. 27—A 2020 Toyota Rav4 reported stolen from Bloomfield was recovered parked and unoccupied on Mission Street by a patrol officer.
Thursday, Sept. 24—A complainant reported that unknown person(s) removed credit and debit cards and cash from his wallet while he was playing baseball at Glenfield Park.
Friday, Sept. 25—The manager at the CVS Pharmacy on Claremont Avenue reported that an individual entered the store and stole approximately $80 worth of laundry products.
Friday, Sept. 25—A Hilltop Place resident reported that two packages, delivered on two different dates, were stolen from her front porch.
Saturday, Sept. 26—A Mission Street resident reported that her white Ancheer electric bicycle with black lettering, equipped with cloth saddle bags, was stolen from a detached garage between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. The bicycle is valued at approximately $800.
Saturday, Sept. 26—A complainant reported that a white Specialized mountain bicycle with red lettering was stolen from outside of the Shell gas station on Bloomfield Avenue.
Saturday, Sept. 26—A Union Street resident reported that the front passenger side window of his vehicle was shattered by a rock.
