Wednesday, Nov. 27 – A 32-year-old Montclair man was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle stop on Lincoln Street.
THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLE
Tuesday, Nov. 26 – A man reported that while unloading items from his vehicle into a Glenridge Avenue address, $7,000 in various camera equipment was removed from the car. Surveillance video shows a black male with a beard, in dark clothing and a red winter hat removing items from the car.
Wednesday, Nov. 27 – A Hawthorne Place resident reported that he looked out his window and observed the interior light to his vehicle on. Upon checking the car, he discovered the front passenger door ajar, and a bag containing approximately $2,000 in surveillance equipment missing. There is no suspect description.
Wednesday, Nov. 27 – A Rosedale Avenue resident reported two credit cards missing from his wallet left in his unlocked vehicle during the overnight hours.
Wednesday, Nov. 27 – A Pleasant Way resident reported that his wallet containing cash and credit cards was stolen from the center console of his vehicle. Some of the wallet’s contents were later recovered in East Orange.
Friday, Nov. 29 – A Melrose Place resident called the police and reported he saw from his Ring Camera app an unknown person enter two of his vehicles. The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black puffy jacket, blue jeans, black gloves and a snow hat. It is unknown if anything was stolen at this time.
Sunday, Dec. 1 – A Maple Avenue resident reported approximately $40 to $50 in miscellaneous tools stolen from his unlocked vehicle overnight.
RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE
Tuesday, Nov. 26 – A 2011 Acura RDX which was reported stolen from Woodland Park was recovered on Roosevelt Place.
