Grab your fishing poles and bring your kids, ages K through 8, to join Montclair Police officers in a free Fishing Derby on Saturday, July 20, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Edgemont Memorial Park.

The pond will be stocked with over 300 types of fish. A limited number of loaner fishing poles will be available for youth wanting to cast off for the first time. Bait will be provided but feel free to bring your own.

Parents – register your kids online at www.montclairpal.org or on site at Edgemont Park between at 9 a.m.

Registration and adult supervision is mandatory for all participants. Prizes will be awarded and lunch will be served.

The free Fishing Derby is made possible through the generous support of the Montclair Police Athletic League (MPAL), Policemen’s Benevolent Association (PBA) Local #53, Montclair Anglers Association, and the Montclair Police Foundation.
