The Montclair High School Class of 2019 Project Graduation motorcade gets ready to roll.

This week reporter Erin Roll wrote about the hazing of sorts that now comes along with the bus ride to Project Graduation.

For 30 years, the Project Graduation buses carrying the graduates to a secret location for an all-night party form a parade through the streets of Montclair as friends and family members cheer the graduates.

But over the years, the onlookers began showering the graduates with water, silly spray and eggs.

Some viewed the hazing as a harmless prank and a sort of unofficial tradition, while others didn’t find it amusing. Many are worried about food allergies with the eggs.
