In celebration of “March is Play the Recorder Month,” Montclair Early Music, along with the American Recorder Association is sponsoring a contest open to all recorder players who attend third grade in Essex County schools. The winner will receive a prize of $75 plus six private lessons and an opportunity to perform with Montclair Early Music at our next concert. Montclair Early Music (MEM) is composed of amateur and professional musicians who play recorder, cornetto, string instruments, and other period instruments.
Students should be videoed playing a piece of their choice; submission deadline is April 30. For more information, contact Julienne Pape at info@MontclairEarlyMusic.org, firstname.lastname@example.org or 845-943-0610.
