On Wednesday, Aug. 22, 7 p.m., at The Montclair Public Library, 50 South Fullerton Ave., Opera Theatre of Montclair will present a preview performance of its full production of Humperdinck’s classic opera “Hansel and Gretel.”

The opera will be sung in English with a narration. OTM’s all-professional cast will perform a shortened family-friendly interactive version with piano of the main-stage show which will then be presented at Central Presbyterian Church, 46 Park St., on Sept. 22, 23, 29 and 30, fully costumed, staged and with a 22-piece orchestra.

Discounted tickets are on sale through Aug. 22. OTM was the 2018 winner of the Jersey Arts People’s Choice Award for New Jersey’s Favorite Opera Company and is a Company Member of The New York Opera Alliance. Free, but registration is required.
