Christopher Miele, 59, of Fairfield, formerly of Montclair, died on Thursday April 19, 2018.

Mr. Miele was born and raised in Montclair, before moving to Cedar Grove, West Caldwell, and then settled in Fairfield in 1999. He was a diesel mechanic for Angelo Miele and Sons in Newark for many years, coached Junior Chiefs football in Caldwell and a founding member of ACT Group at Kessler in West Orange.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 37 years, Deborah (Rooney), his son Christopher Jr. and his wife Megan, his daughter Tara Miele, his brothers Angelo and Michael Miele, and was predeceased by his parents, Christopher and Thelma (Schiavo).

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. Monday April 23, at Notre Dame Church in North Caldwell, interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover. Visitation is Sunday, April 22, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair.
