Maureen E. Lamb, 72, of Clifton and formerly a longtime Montclair resident, died suddenly, Monday, March 26, at HackensackUMC Mountainside Hospital.

Ms. Lamb was the daughter of the late Edward T. Lamb and the late Jane (Meehan) Lamb. She was predeceased by her brother Edward F., and her sisters Virginia (Lamb) Clark and Janie and her brother-in-law Peter Fess. She is survived by her brother Bobby and his wife Kathy of Lake Como and her sister Maryanne Fess of Fairfield. She was the aunt of Dennis (Marie), the late Kevin, Colleen (Scot), Kathleen, Kelly, Sean (Amy), Bevin (Ralph), Meghan (Duke) and Tracey. She also is survived by 13 grand-nieces and nephews.

Ms. Lamb attended both grammar and high school at Immaculate Conception in Montclair and remained lifelong friends with her classmates. She worked her entire career at New Jersey Bell Telephone Company and continued those friendships after her retirement. She loved her Irish heritage, the Jersey Shore, going on cruises all while being with family and friends.

Viewing services will be held at the Hugh M. Moriarty Funeral Home, 76 Park St., Montclair, on Monday, April 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral mass will be at Immaculate Conception Church, Montclair on Tuesday, April 3, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Upper Montclair.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Maureen’s name to Immaculate Conception Church, 30 North Fullerton Avenue, Montclair, NJ 07042.
