Frederick Oliver Brown, 84, of Montclair died on Feb. 20, 2018.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in East Orange. Interment was at Rosedale Cemetery in Montclair. Arrangements were made by Woody Home For Services.
Mr. Brown was employed by EMI in Boonton for over 25 years, Washington Equipment in Paterson and Marlo Manufacturing in Boonton. He also was a U.S. Army veteran. He was an active resident of Montclair, serving on the PTA, the YMCA Indian Guides, the South End Gardens Senior Housing and First Montclair Housing Corp. He served in many capacities in at Holy Trinity, including church council, treasurer, property chair and finance committee.
Mr. Brown is survived by his wife Carol of 61 years, three sons Mark (Candace), Treg (Pamela), and Christopher (Tess); four grandchildren, Alexandra, Zachary, Morgen and Charlotte; a sister Marcia Evans (Herman); two brothers Arnold (Gwyn) and Christopher and a host of nieces and nephews.
