Alice Boggs, 97, of Montclair, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018.
Viewing will be held on Friday, Feb. 23, from 11 a.m. to noon at St. Paul’s Baptist Church, 119 Elm St, Montclair. A funeral service will begin at noon followed by interment at Rosedale Cemetery, Montclair.
Born in Statham, Georgia, on Nov. 8, 1920, to Mattie and Emory Stephens, she moved to Montclair in 1939 and married the late Willie Nathaniel Boggs, on Sept. 26, 1940.
Mrs. Boggs is survived by her son, Otis (Glenna); two daughters, Linda and Gail; a niece/daughter, Louella Walker (Melvin); four grandchildren, Lisa Boggs-Layton (Stewart), Jason (Sharda), Willie and Mattie Larson; two great-grandchildren, Torry and Kyndall; two sisters-in-law, Mary Boggs and Betty Stephens; a brother-in-law, Booker T. Boggs; and multiple cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia; two sisters, Ivy and Lucille; and two brothers, Lucious and Donald.
