Montclair property owners should expect to get letters about their revaluations later this week, according to the township.

The municipality announced the news in its email newsletter to residents Tuesday.

“The Township last year contracted Professional Property Appraisers Inc. (PPA) to provide a revaluation of all Montclair properties as mandated by the Essex County Board of Taxation and the state of New Jersey,” the newsletter said. “Assessment letters will be sent to property owners later this week.”

Last March Delran-based PPA began sending out its inspectors to visit the estimated 11,000 properties in Montclair.

Those with questions about the property revaluation process can call the Township Tax Assessor’s office at 973-509-4919.
