The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the area, including North Jersey, calling for snowfall tonight with expected accumulations of up to three inches.
The Montclair Office of Emergency Management, or OEM, late Tuesday afternoon reminded residents that parking on snow-covered streets is prohibited.
Parking is available free of charge at municipal surface lots. Free parking will also be made available in township decks — Fullerton, Bay Street and Crescent — after 9 p.m.
“Please keep in mind that the Crescent and Bay Street decks have a limited number of spots open after accounting for parking for those who have purchased permits and for emergency services vehicles,” the township said in an email and text.
There are 150 spots at the Bay Street Deck and 110 spots at the Crescent Deck.
