Last Wednesday, June 21, musicians popped up all over Montclair to celebrate the fourth
annual Montclair Make Music Day.
The event is part of the global celebration Make Music Day, which always takes place on the solstice, or first day of summer, with free, live musical performances.
It is inspired by France’s Fête de la Musique, which started 35 years ago; more than 750 cities around the world participate. Montclair resident Greg Pason organizes the event in town, which he described as “DIY” (do it yourself) and “DIT” (do it together).
