Maybe not in the flesh, but in the costume: Judith Martorelli will speak about Queen Victoria and her personal stories, dressed in costume, to the Victorian Society in America Northern New Jersey Chapter, on Monday, April 17, at 8 p.m.

VSANJJ meets at the Montclair Women’s Club, 82 Union St. The event is free to members, and $5 for nonmembers. VSANNJ meets 10 times a year, usually the third Monday of the month, and brings in speakers on a variety of 19th- and early 20th-century topics. Talks are followed by refreshments. Twice a year, VSANNJ holds bus trips.
