Alyce Gottesman, a Montclair artist whose paintings and drawings explore the rhythms of the seasons and the energy of nature, according to a release, will be among 11 artists exhibiting work to benefit Volunteer Lawyers for Justice of New Jersey.

Gottesman’s awards include a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship, a Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation Fellowship and a Virginia Center for the Creative Arts Residency Fellowship.

The exhibit will be held at the Valley Regency, 112w9 Valley Road, Clifton, on Wednesday, Nov. 1. The artists, from within and outside the legal community, are giving VLJ 50 percent of their event sales to help fund the nonprofit’s legal programs for economically disadvantaged adults, children and families in New Jersey.
