School of Rock Montclair will begin its fall performance programs in early October.

Students will take part in weekly program rehearsals that will run through January 2018, and concert presentations of the programs will take place at local live music venues in January 2018.

The programs will include tributes to Cornell/Bennington, Pink Floyd, the Stones, Lady Gaga vs. Beyonce, and more.

“Performance programs are the culmination of our students’ experience at School of Rock Montclair,” says Kevin March, General Manager.

“Our credo is that we don’t teach music to put on shows, we put on shows to teach music – and our students gain invaluable insights, awareness, and confidence from the live shows of our performance programs that enhance every aspect of their lives.”

In each School of Rock Montclair performance program, students are organized into bands, and they work with each other to learn the most popular and important songs of the artists who are being featured. Students also learn the intricacies of presenting these songs in front of a live audience.
