Michaela Maureen Cooney and David Peter Guariglia were married on June 3 by the Rev. Martin O’Reilly at St. Catharine Church, Spring Lake.

A cocktail and dinner tent reception followed at The Mantoloking Yacht Club.

The bride is the daughter of Maureen and Kevin Cooney of Spring Lake, formerly of Montclair. The groom is the son of Donna and David Guariglia of Morristown.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Kevin Cooney.

The bride’s sister, Kerry Ann Mai of Fairfax, Virginia, served as matron of honor. Other bridesmaids were Sarah Galley, Julianne Guariglia, Megan Haley, Katherine Schwenk and Allison Shaw.

Daniel and Jeffrey Guariglia served as best men to their brother, Pete. Alexander Hammerschlag, Patrick Morris, David Wassel and Jeffrey Wiener served as ushers.

The bride graduated from Montclair High School in 2004 and earned her undergraduate degree in architecture at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in 2008. She earned a master’s degree in architecture from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, in 2011 and is a licensed architect at Anderson Campanella Architects in Rumson.

The groom earned his undergraduate degree in environmental studies from Lehigh University in 2008. He is employed at Fidelity Paper and Supply Corp in East Hanover.

The couple honeymooned in Italy and reside in Rumson.
